Mission Belt Co & Mujeres De Xecaxjoj
In Guatemala, the Mujeres De Xecoxjoj Group is comprised of women who regularly receive and repay loans to better their agricultural businesses. Narcisa who is the founder of this group, is a wife and mother who makes a living by raising domestic livestock.
Narcisa never had an opportunity to go to school as a child, so everything she has learned has been on her own. She started her business about 10 years ago by raising hens and selling the eggs in her local community. Over the years she has become very busy and has her husband help her when he is not involved in his own lines of work.
Her main goal with her business is to start selling livestock to large businesses and farms. Her portion of the loan will go to purchasing young livestock that she will raise in hopes of selling in the future.
As a family, Narcisa and her husband hope to better improve their quality of living. Their son isn't currently in school, but they hope to gain the means by which they will be able to give him an education.

One of the benefits Mission Belt Co gets from partnering with Kiva, is that we are able to donate money to groups and individuals world wide. Everyday there are thousands of people in all corners of the earth who are trying to get a hand up on life. Narcisa is trying to better her life and send her son to school, and we are proud to be a part of that process.
Our mission would not be possible without the support of our awesome customers. For every single belt we sell we donate $1 to our Kiva fund. You can join in on the mission by purchasing one of our leather ratchet belts!
