continue to expand.”
Since that time we have had tremendous success thanks to our amazing customers. Due in large part to our success we were selected for a spinoff show called Beyond The Tank.
In this show the Sharks review the companies they’ve invested in and give a real-world glimpse into the challenges a company faces after appearing on the hit show. We’re honored to be part of the premiere season of Beyond The Tank.
Growth Means Opportunity & Challenges
Being on the original show was a tremendous springboard for Mission Belt, but it wasn’t all skittles and rainbows. Our meteoric growth brought with it its own set of challenges. Managing inventory and finding the right people to fill key roles quickly were two major hurdles. Our growing reputation has also brought attention from competitors. Through it all we’ve been fortunate enough to not just survive but thrive in a competitive landscape.
We successfully expanded into licensed sports apparel with our NCAA, NBA, and NHL lines. And we’re not done yet. We’re building even more lines of our famous belt. If you’re on our mailing list, you’ll be among the first to hear about our newest offerings in the works, so be sure to sign up!
Giving Back & Remembering The Mission
Through it all we have been fortunate to not just grow our company, but also grow our ability to help others around the world. In pursuit of our mission to fight world hunger, a dollar from every belt sold is donated to micro-lending organization Kiva.
We recently completed 20,000 loans in over 70 countries. Thanks to our customers, we have been able to give more people a hand up with micro loans then we ever could have imagined.
Mission Belt is making a big difference to more and more people everywhere…and it all started on Shark Tank. So get excited! Grab some popcorn and a drink and watch for Mission Belt on Beyond The Tank. Thanks for being part of the mission!

What makes our belts so comfortable is the no-holes design ratcheting system that allows for micro-adjustments. That way no matter what the situation you can cinch the belt or loosen it to the exact position you need. That is the kind of unmatched comfort our customers have come to love.
On top of that, we've made our belts stylish and sleek. They are versatile enough to be used in various settings from casual to business. We offer click belts in leather and nylon. We also have licensed sports belts so you can rep your favorite team.
Mission Belt got its start on the hit TV show Shark Tank. We're sometimes referred to as the As Seen On TV belt because of how popular our belts became after the show aired. Since then we've been featured in various re-runs as well as our own appearance in the hit spin-off show called Beyond The Tank.
Besides the fact that our belts are the most comfortable and stylish belts on the planet, we also believe very strongly in giving back. We started this company with a mission to help others overcome poverty. That's why $1 from every belt sold goes to fight world hunger through our partner KIVA, a micro-lending charity. We've participated in many thousands of loans in dozens of countries and in so doing helped thousands of people overcome poverty. We love being able to give back through our efforts. If you're looking for a comfort click belt, join us in the mission! Check out our collections and buy today.

Nate did an exceptional job showing why our belts and our company are worth an investment. Daymond saw the potential almost immediately as did his colleagues. In fact, one of the Sharks that passed on Mission Belt later said that was the one deal he wished he could have back.
Going Back Into The Tank
Due to the popularity of The Shark Tank, ABC has launched a spin-off show called Beyond The Tank. Mission Belt has been selected as a business to be featured on the new show.
In this show, companies that got a deal from a Shark will be put to the test to see how they have managed with the investment. We’re looking forward to seeing what America thinks of how we’ve done since being on the show.
Growth Brings Challenges & New Opportunity
We weren’t sure what to expect after being on the original show. The break between filming and airing gave us some time to prepare but there was no way to know how the world would respond after seeing us.
To say the response was huge would be an understatement. In a matter of a few days our company had grown exponentially, and we’ve been fortunate enough to continue our growth. But with that came unique challenges. How do we manage that growth without sacrificing our values and our future?
Thanks to valuable partners like Daymond, we’re doing just that. Since being on the show we have successfully expanded into licensed sports apparel with our Collegiate, NBA, and NHL lines. There’s even more to come in the near future so get signed up on our newsletter to make sure you don’t miss it!
Remembering Our Mission
Most companies weren’t founded with a philanthropic purpose like Mission Belt. One of our top goals in starting this company was to give back to those who need it most. To honor our mission to fight world hunger, a dollar from every belt sold is donated to micro-lending organization Kiva. In fact, we’ve recently surpassed 20,000 loans in over 70 countries.
Thanks to our loyal customers and valued partners, we’re helping to put an end to hunger in third-world countries. At Mission Belt, we’re all about making a difference. So now it’s time to get your own “Daymond John belt”. Thanks for being part of the mission!

Being able to sell the pigs has helped her to fund her children’s education so that she does not have to leave home to work, which means that she and her family can remain close together.

With extra cultivated land, they will be able to increase their harvest. A small portion of the loan is also going to buying more seed for planting.
With the increase in harvest and better business, Filomina and her family hope to provide for themselves a better quality of living.

Filomina and her family have been very appreciative of the loan, and have already begun to pay it back. The family business is doing very well, and they are maximizing the use of their land.

]]>As we all know, the problem with belts today is they come in whole inch sizes. For most of us that creates a problem if we are going for that perfect fit or custom fit. We change sizes from day to day and meal to meal and rarely are we an exact 34 or 36 etc. Most times we are in between sizes or even between the in between sizes. The worst part about that is the belt ends up being too tight (ouch) or too loose (embarrassing). And let’s not forget how lousy a belt looks after we’ve traded holes a few times. The belt starts looking like a prehistoric artifact full of scratches, stretch marks, and cracks. Bottom line: it’s uncomfortable, undistinguished, and unacceptable.
That is one of the great things about The Mission Belt. Not only does it look amazing, it has technology that delivers custom fit belts without having to search out the old world hidden shops and artisans. The Mission Belt uses no-holes ratchet technology so that every time you put on your Mission Belt you can get the very most comfortable and custom fit belt ever. You can actually adjust the size down to the millimeter as easily as slipping the belt on. It’s a revolution in belt design and comfort. Finally there is a belt that gives that custom fit and tailored finish to an item we all use every day. Custom fit belts are here at last.

]]>Honduras is the second poorest country in Central America with 60 percent of the country being affected by poverty and 36 percent living under extreme poverty conditions. Maria Antonia is a 34 year old wife and mother of five children living in the provincial capital, La Esperanza. She was blessed to have been financed and encouraged by her parents to pursue education through her elementary years. She was also taught farming techniques in the home as it has been the main means of income for generations. Maria Antonia’s primary crops are currently potatoes, corn, beans, and coffee. She owns the land that she, her husband and children work on. Her clientele are the members of her same community that purchase their groceries at the local market.
Maria requested a loan of $1250 in order to purchase certified potato seeds, manure, fertilizer, and other things to be able to plant and harvest a quality, attractive product for her customers. Her hope is that this will bolster her productivity and provide enough economic stability so that she can make much needed improvements to her home as well as increase the amount of land that she owns. This would be so that down the road her children would have land to live on and work for themselves. We are pleased to report that not only was the loan fully funded and repaid, but also that it has increased her productivity and output. Maria also mentioned how well she was treated by those who assisted her in this loan and said that she would love to continue working with them.

Good question! I'm glad you asked. A ratchet belt is a specific style of belt that ratchets down to the desired size by using a buckle mechanism that locks into place. The position of the belt is maintained by using a series of teeth and a latch held in place by magnets instead of the traditional peg and holes that most belts use.
The Mission Belt is a ratchet belt. It uses a magnet on the back of the buckle to lock a metal peg into a rail of teeth that catches the peg. This way the ratchet belt makes a perfect fit without putting holes in the leather. The end result is a belt that fits perfectly every time you wear it. Since there are no holes our ratchet belts last much longer than traditional belts. A ratchet belt is a great way to hold up your pants!
Someone really smart once said a picture is worth a thousand words. So here's a picture:First you insert the belt into the buckle.
Second you slide the belt into the ratchet mechanism. You see the teeth on the track? That's where you will start to here the click click click.
The ratchet belt is locked into place as firmly as a traditional belt but without the ugly holes and stretch marks. To release the ratchet mechanism just pull the lever on the bottom and pull out the belt from the buckle. It's that easy. In fact, it's so easy you can do it while getting hit in the face with water balloons. Don't believe me? Just ask Cam:
A trick question. I like your style, friend! No, not ALL ratchet belts are made well because most other companies don't hold themselves to the same standard that we do. But we can speak to our own quality.
Every Mission Belt is made from durable materials that make other ratchet belts seem cheap. We only use the highest quality materials which is why our belts last so long. Check out this video that shows how our belts are made:
Man, that's two trick questions in a row. But I'm on to you now. Here's the rundown on our belts: we have a great selection of belts in various sizes, colors, and styles. Each belt is offered in small, medium, large, XL, or custom size up to 56" long. Most customers buy the belt a little longer than they need because our buckles are removable and you can easily trim the leather down to the perfect size.
Just be careful. Our scientists tell us cutting the leather down is simple enough but they haven't figured out how to make it regenerate yet. We've experimented with using live lizards instead of cowhide but you know it's harder than it sounds.
Our belts come in two different widths: 35mm & 40mm. All leathers and buckles are interchangeable but only if they are the same width. The idea is to mix and match buckles and leathers as needed. But just keep in mind you can't use a 40MM leather on a 35MM buckle. I know, once again science fails us. Come on scientists!
As for styles and colors, we've got lots of options and we regularly add more. Check out our different collections: Solids, Gold, Kids, 3Bar, Heavy Metal, Alloys. Or just browse all our belts and see what jumps out. So the real question isn't: which one is right for you? It's: which ones are you going to buy first?
Remember, the Mission Belt Co is more than just a ratchet belt company. We are on a mission to end world hunger. That's why we donate $1 from every belt purchased to Kiva, a microlending organization. Read more about The Mission.

Meet Bernardo. He is a 41 yr. old father of three from Villa Domingo, Philippines who was taught in the the livelihood of his parents - farming. He is proud of the work he has now been doing for nearly 20 years and hopes that one day it will provide the means to achieve income stability for him and his family and additional revenue to pay school fees for his children. To reach this goal, Bernardo requested a loan of PHP 30,000 that would allow him to harvest his crops more profitably through the use of fertilizers and insecticides. We are pleased to report that Bernardo has completely repaid this loan and is well on his way to building his family on a solid economic foundation. That money will now be lent out to others who find themselves in the search for economic freedom and who want to break free from the chains of poverty. And so it goes for every dollar from all belt purchases that continue circulating the globe finding their way into the hands of hard working, driven entrepreneurs.

Mission Friends,
Armenia is a country approximately the size of Maryland where one-third of the population lives below the poverty line. Much of the population earns their income as subsistence farmers growing only slightly more than their needs in order to sell the surplus. Misha is a 26 year old from the Tsovazard village in Gavar, Armenia. He currently lives with his parents, wife and one-year-old son. Prior to the birth of the their son, Misha’s wife worked as a dental technician but has since stopped to take care of their son. His mother is retired and his father continues working abroad for the Russian Federation. Misha has no higher education but worked for several years at a local lemonade factory. He has since found himself unemployed and turned to farming and agriculture to provide for his family.
Misha currently owns a private plot of land where he keeps three cows, one bull, three calves, six pigs and ten piglets. His mother - who has vast experience in farming - has been passing on what knowledge she can to her son to give him the best opportunity for success and to help him become the provider he wants to be. To further bolster his productivity, Misha requested a loan of $2,400 USD to buy a hay mowing machine. That loan was fully funded and currently he is well on his way to paying it back and making that money available to other striving entrepreneurs.
Thank you all for being part of his success by being a part of the Mission. We’re breaking the poverty cycle one belt at a time!

]]>In this installment of “Buy a Belt, Feed a Family” we head over to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to learn more about Diep, a 58 yr. old mother of four. She has been working alongside her husband for the last 8 years by designing and printing advertisements that are then posted on advertising boards he makes. Diep has received two $725 loans which have given her the needed items to grow her business and help her reach greater financial stability. With the success of her first loan she was able to purchase a larger quantity of plastic, paper and other materials increasing her sales.
With her second loan she was able to build upon her first loan’s momentum and increase the size of her business to reach more customers. We are happy to report that Diep has paid back her interest free micro loans and is prospering. The loan she repaid can now be lent out to others seeking a hand up, not a hand out. ]]>Think about it: could your house ever fall into a sinkhole if holes didn't exist? No. The guy who keeps bragging about his hole-in-one? Yeah we'd totally fix that. Did your lover find someone else? Doesn't matter. Holes don't exist anywhere, not even in your heart. What a world it would be...
Well, we've got to start somewhere so we decided to make a no holes belt. We took this approach because we realized that the problem with belts in general is the holes. The reason is simple, we take a perfectly good article of clothing and we punch holes through it and then we wonder why they wear out so fast and look so tired. Where do belts get stretch marks? Where do they crack? It's always around the holes. And isn't the perfect fit always somewhere between two notches? Holes in belts are just lame.
So we made a holeless belt. By avoiding the holes we actually strengthen it. With no holes to wear, stretch, tear, and weaken your belt, it will last ten times as long and always look like you just got it. You'll look better and be happier with an article of clothing that you can wear everyday and always fits perfectly.
Someone super smart said this once:
"A philosophy that I have always had and shared is: if it is something that you have to live with everyday, i.e. a belt, glasses, contacts, shoes, socks, etc., get what you like best regardless of the price. Some things are just worth the money."
-Someone Super Smart
What this person is clearly saying is to get a nice no holes belt from us, or several of them. And the good news, it won't cost you a fortune. For just $35 dollars you can have a Mission Belt delivered to your door anywhere in the continental United States. And that gets us one step closer to a no holes world.
Say Goodbye To Holes
The magic in The Mission Belt is the buckle mechanism itself. It's a magnet mechanism that engages a retention lever that holds the belt in place when the tip is inserted. On the inside of the belt tip is a six inch row of plastic teeth that are caught by the retention lever. Since there are six inches of retention teeth separated by about 1/4 inch you can micro adjust down to the exact length you need.
Did you just lose 5 lbs? No problem. Just slide the belt tip in another notch or two and presto! the belt is a perfect fit again. Too many chips and nachos at Pepe's? It's all good, amigo! Just discreetly grab the release latch and let your swelling midsection do the rest. Ok, maybe that's too graphic, but I think you get the idea. This belt always...like ALWAYS...fits.
To disengage the magnet from the retention teeth on the inside of the belt you just simply squeeze a retention lever that is located on the bottom of the buckle. That will disengage the magnet and make the ratchet belt simply slide off as you pull the tip out of the buckle. Once you try the Mission Belt No Holes Belt you will never go back to holes. That's a promise.
The reverse side of the Mission Belt buckle. See the retention lever and magnet?
As you insert the belt tip into the buckle you will hear a click as retention teeth glide over the retention lever.
Lastly, simply adjust to your desired perfect fit. To release, just squeeze the retention lever by lifting the lever at the bottom of the buckle away from your body. Simple!
These belts are really simple to operate. So easy, in fact, that you could do it while getting doused by an assortment of condiments. Don't believe me? Just ask Cam:
That might seem like an easy question to answer, but the reality is, not every no holes belt is well made. And none of them are as well made as the Mission Belt. We hold ourselves to a very high standard. Remember, we're aiming for a holeless world so we're planning to be here for awhile. How will we ever fill the Grand Canyon if we make a belt that people aren't happy with?
Every Mission Belt is made from high-quality materials. The buckle, the leather, the locking mechanism, all of it is a testament to our high production standards. This short video shows how our belts are made:
Here's the low down on our awesome belts: they come in various sizes, colors, and styles. Each belt comes in several sizes from small all the way to 56" long. We recommend buying your belt just a little longer than you might anticipate. The reason is because our buckles are removable so you can trim the leather down to the exact length you need for a perfect fit.
Our belts are available in two widths: 35mm & 40mm. All leathers and buckles are interchangeable but only if they are the same width. That way you can mix & match buckles with different leathers depending on the occasion. But remember, you can't mix or match a 40mm leather with a 35mm buckle...unless of course you're a warlock.
As for our different styles and colors, there are several to choose from and we add more on a regular basis. You can see our various collections here: Solids, Gold, Kids, 3Bar, Heavy Metal, Alloys. Or just check out all our belts and see what strikes your fancy. So the real question isn't: which one is right for you? It's: which ones are you going to buy first?
Yes, we are on a mission. First we plan to eradicate belt holes. At the same time we're hoping to eradicate holes in people's stomachs. Hunger really sucks! Even worse than holes in belts. That's why we donate $1 from every belt purchased to Kiva, a microlending organization. The money is used to help people in developing countries start or grow their small business and provide the income they need to get out of poverty. From Russia with love,
Mission Belt Co.
]]>Here at Mission Belt we’re a pretty happy bunch and we like to see others happy. It’s great to see people smile when they first rock one of our Mission Belts and it really brings it full circle when we see that smile transfer to someone who has been aided by the micro-loans we help finance. Thats why when we came across Nadira’s smiling face, we knew we had to tell her story. Nadira, a 38 year old mother of 3, was trained to be a school teacher but when faced with the decision of how to better provide for her family and increase her income, she turned to farming. After having received her loan, she invested it in fertilizer for her potatoes in hopes of generating enough profit to purchase more cattle for her farm. She is now well on her way to repaying the interest-free loan back and making that money available to others seeking economic independence. Nadira is an awesome entrepreneur with a great dream and we were so happy to be a small part of her success. It’s amazing what hard work, a dream, and a little micro-loan can accomplish.
You can follow up on Nadira’s story as well as check other people that have been funded by the Mission Belt family on the Kiva website.
